1. Jacksonville Spring Fest

Take the kids, grandma and grandpa too, for a day packed with fun and excitement on Riverside Arts Square at 725 Riverside Avenue in Jacksonville for the annual Jacksonville Spring Fest. Shop for beautiful arts and crafts from local vendors, enjoy live entertainment and music on the stage and eat plenty of mouthwatering eats and treats. The kids will love meeting the Easter Bunny, getting their faces painted, and hopping around on the bounce houses.

2. Springing the Blues

Head to the Seawalk Pavilion at 75 1st Street North in Jacksonville Beach at the end of March to listen to three days of free music by renowned local, regional, and international blues musicians on the beach. Springing the Blues, which celebrated its 31st anniversary this year, is a spectacular oceanfront music festival cited as one of the best blues music events in the country.

During the festival, there’s an artisan market with an array of handmade furniture, clothing, and jewelry, a food court with a wide selection of food, and a special area where the kids can enjoy fun activities.

3. Jax River Jams

Just as the last notes of Springing the Blues fade away, Jax River Jams, a four-week multi-genre music extravaganza, kicks off. Jax River Jams showcases the extraordinary talent of the city’s music scene with award-winning local bands and musicians throughout April at the scenic Riverfront Plaza at 2 West Independent Drive in Jacksonville.

Bring camp chairs and blankets, get comfortable listening to great music, and enjoy delicious food from various food trucks and a variety of local craft beer from the bars. Please, only drink if you’re an adult, take it easy, drink slowly and responsibly, and don’t drive.

4. Jacksonville Taco and Margarita Festival

The third Jacksonville Taco and Margarita Festival was held on April 22, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., at TIAA Bank Field and Daily’s Place on the banks of the St. Johns River downtown.

At this much-anticipated festival, over 40 of the city’s best restaurants, food trucks, and carts offer a delicious selection of tacos and related culinary delights, and bars and beverage stations compete to serve the best margaritas. There’s plenty of fun for the whole family, including live music, wrestling, and loads of kids’ activities.
