Performance
The M3 is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged I6 motor, a rear-wheel drivetrain, and a six-speed manual transmission with selectable drive modes for an engaging driving experience. The entry-level powertrain delivers 473 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, while the same engine with an xDrive AWD system produces 523 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The xDrive model is also matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
