5 Trim Levels of the 2024 BMW 5 Series
530i Sedan
The base trim of the BMW 5 Series is a rear-wheel drive sedan with a wealth of luxury appointments. It comes with 19-inch wheels and is driven by a 255-horsepower 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine that delivers a top speed of 130 miles per hour and a 0-60 mph sprint of 5.9 seconds. Outstanding performance pairs with excellent fuel consumption ratings of 30 mpg combined, making it one of the best luxury sports sedans.
The 530i brings driving convenience and fun with an 8-speed sport automatic transmission with Sport and Manual shift modes and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Standard interior appointments include power-adjustable front sport seats, a power moonroof with sliding sunshade, and interior courtesy lights with an automatic dimming function.
530i xDrive Sedan
The 530i xDrive Sedan pairs the 530i’s powertrain with an all-wheel drive system for enhanced performance in challenging road conditions. The exterior and interior styling includes many luxe elements, such as satin aluminum exterior accents, high gloss interior trims, and perforated Veganza upholstery.
A 14.9 central information display and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, which are also standard on the base trim, provide quick access to driving information and entertainment. Infotainment pairs with a Harman Kardon Premium sound system and includes a one-year Premium plan subscription to SiriusXM 360L.
540i xDrive Sedan
BMW equips the 540i xDrive Sedan with a bigger 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine that delivers 375 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.
Like the 530i xDrive, it comes with a standard all-wheel-drive system and the same 8-speed automatic transmission with Sport and Manual modes for enhanced driving enjoyment.
i5 eDrive40
The i5 eDrive40 is based on the 540i xDrive but comes with an all-electric motor that delivers 335 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 5.7 seconds. With up to 295 miles of range, this stylish vehicle is perfect for city rides and long trips along the Interstate.
BMW equips this trim with 19-inch aerodynamic wheels and mixed-performance tires for enhanced traction on challenging roads.
i5 xDrive 40
The i5 xDrive 40 is the all-electric variant of the 540i xDrive Sedan. It comes with a dual electric motor that delivers all-wheel drive, 389 horsepower, and a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds. Variable sport steering and a multi-link rear suspension enhance the vehicle’s performance on difficult roads.
